Application:
HX thrash racks are designed to separate floating debris
or adrift impurities from liquid. They serve mainly the municipal
as well as industrial effluent water treatment plants, waterworks,
or irrigation canals, or if you like anywhere where separation
of floating debris or insoluble materials is required when
contained in liquid that flows within the open sewer. It constitutes
a stage called mechanical pretreatment of water.

Function Description:
Water led to the sewer full of suspended solids flows
over the rack (bar screen) lamellas. These are made
of steel bands (strips) with firmly set width of anchoring
slot within the support frame. Insoluble or floating
materials larger than the slot width get caught on the
lamellas. Raking device starts automatically within
the time intervals adjusted. This raking device comprises
a raking bar and cleaning brushes used to rake the caught
floating debris or insoluble materials from lamellas
into the hydraulic press’hopper and operating chamber.
Once inside operating chamber the hydraulic press will
dewater the rackings, press them and convey them into
the container via the conveyance piping. The adjustments
of raking the solids and pressing the rackings as such
are independent. The standard width of the slots between
rack lamellas is normally 6 mm. The entire equipment
is made of corrosion proof steel 17 241.
Specifications:
HX racks are electric motor driven via hydrostatic
transmission.Electric motor power installed equals to
0,7 kW. Hydraulic set’s operating pressure is 16 MPa.
There is fully automatic control with the possibility
of independent setting up the time for raking and pressing
the rackings. Normally the equipment will be installed
inside concreted sewer of respective width. Conveying
piping with pressed rackings is able to be led under
the 45°or 90o angles. Maximal conveyance height for
pressed rackings is 5 m. |

All the racks will be anchored to the trough’s (channel’s)
upper surface by means of metric anchores into the concrete.
Anchoring dimensions - M10 two-sided at the distance of 50
mm from the outside edge of the supporting frame.

Material Type
Rack’s mechanical raking parts are made of corrosion proof
steel class 17241. Hydraulic unit is made of normal structural
steel complete with surface finish using synthetic paint.
Electric switchboard is of plastic version.

Specifications of the Supply:
Part of supply are the mechanically raked racks including
hydraulic press designed for the rackings, electrical switchboard,
control system and conveyance piping for the rackings terminated
with flange DN 200, PN 6 of total length 500 mm from the side
wall of racks’supporting frame. Basic transition is provided
via the anchoring of mechanically raked racks by means of
the frame to the supporting structure with the spacing of
anchor bolts A x B. Please specify in more detail any other
requirements as far as anchoring and sewer tie-in are concerned.
